Vara Network's Mega Hackathon Takes Mexico by Storm

Following the resounding success of the 1st Web3 University Hackathon in December 2022, Gear Foundation has joined forces with Web3 Group (@theweb3group) to expand Web3 education in Mexico. This collaboration has led to the creation of the highly anticipated Vara Mega Hackathon.

Empowering Developers: Preparation and Support

Ahead of the first Side Hackathon, Vara organized weekly online training sessions for two months, equipping participants with the necessary skills to develop high-level projects during the events. Esteemed organizations such as Zona Tres (@lazonatres) and prominent Web3 leaders provided invaluable support throughout this period. The Hackathon itself was free for all attendees, including meals, swag, and the chance to win substantial cash prizes.

Guided by Experts: Mentors and Jury Panel

During the intense 24-hour duration of each hackathon, national and international mentors from Mexico and Turkey lent their expertise, guiding and assisting teams in developing their groundbreaking projects. To elevate the competition even further, a distinguished panel of national and international judges evaluated the projects. By conducting all presentations in English, the jury ensured a clear understanding and precise evaluation of the innovative ideas presented, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event.
